seriously, you think water is gonna get them?!

SO....a weird phenomenon has been happening every time I enter a public restroom, I see someone Fake Washing THEIR HANDS!! Thats right, I said FAKE. They just briefly run them under water and dry them off and walk out. SICK!

First, what, you have the time to fake wash your hands but don't have the time to take the 2 seconds to add soap? You are already in the motion of washing your hands...add a little soap. Seriously, it takes like 2 seconds.

Second, Are you expecting all the germs to be drowned from all the water? What is the purpose of doing this? Really you are just smearing whatever is on your hands around..

I seriously have seen this so much down here. It makes me grossed out.

Here are the 3 most common things spread from not washing your hands, just in case you were thinking about going the Fake Handwashing Route:

Handwashing can stop three of the main ways in which diseases spread between people:

1. Fecal-oral transmission. This refers to diseases we get by ingesting fecal material (also called stool, excrement, poop, etc.), which happens more often than we'd like to imagine - usually because someone forgets to wash their hands after using the toilet and then touches food, drinks or other items. The germs are transferred to others who touch those items later. Many types of microbe are transmitted this way, including salmonellosis, shigellosis, hepatitis A, giardiasis, enterovirus, amebiasis and campylobacteriosis.

2. Indirect contact with respiratory secretions. Many diseases are spread indirectly by infected people who cough or sneeze into their hands, leaving respiratory discharges that can be picked up by other people when they touch or shake hands. Sneezers and coughers, wash your hands! The rest of us need to remember to wash our hands after touching anyone who has been coughing and sneezing. Influenza (flu), streptococcus, respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) and the common cold are just a few of the illnesses that can spread this way.

3. Contact with body fluids. Urine, saliva and other moist body substances can spread microbes including cytomegalovirus, typhoid, staphylococcal organisms, and Epstein-Barr virus. These germs can be transmitted from person to person or indirectly by contamination of food or objects such as toys.

This was at Jason and Toni's dinner rehearsal. The baby is my niece, Dani...and I think the guy is Legolas or maybe David Beckham. hehe.

My dad never smiles for pictures so this picture is rare. I love it! They, my dad and Dani, looks so cute together! He held her pretty much all night ( at Toni and Jason's dinner rehearsal) .

My sister-in-law Robyn and bro Garry. I miss them so much when they are gone. Rob was really excited to meet them. He thinks they are so cool (Garry, Robyn, Michele, Daryl and their kids). I wish I got a pic of Michele , Daryl, and the kids. I was just so excited from everything going on that I missed it. Anyway, those of you that know Jason....Doesn't Garry and Jason look so much alike with the long curly hair?

My dad totally was dancing at the reception!! It was so fun!! This is Jasmine (Toni's sister), me, Ashley(my niece), Carrie (my sister), My dad ..lol...in the back with his hands up, Brittany (my niece), and Dani (Carrie's daughter-my niece) crying in the stroller. I just love this pic on so many levels and none of them have to do with me being in it. Ha!

Nursing School

Our teacher accidently put the Sim Mans (one is a female and the other a male) like this. HA! she is so oblivious! It has been really stressful in the nursing program so far. I have been really home sick. Which is weird because I don't really get home sick. I think it is because I don't really know anyone down here. I have kind of made friends with people in the program with me but mostly I just feel socially retarded. Like I am in Junior High again and I worry about if people will like me, I know...it's stupid. I went through the ups and downs and wondering if I can really do this program and if I will be a good nurse. I can't wait until I will be done and can move home back into my house near my family and friends.

Halo 3

Rob is a nerd and it might be rubbing off on me! He was super excited about Halo 3 coming out. We went to this video game store at midnight just to buy the game. The whole place was packed with....well....dorks, not that that's a bad thing. Anyway, my point is that it reeked like swass, swalls, and BO. If you don't know what that is then consider yourself lucky. I have taken up playing Halo 3 and actually like it, hence the part about his dorkiness rubbing off on me. I was gonna get a picture of all the smelly halo nerds but I decided I would rather remember my cute husband, so here he is.
