Homecomine Parade with the DSNA

The Dixie Student Nursing Association was in the homecoming parade. It was so much fun! We put a hospital bed in the back of the truck and had all the members that could come dress up as patients or in their scrubs. Last year the DSNA didn't really do much. This year, with a new presidency, we wanted to make the DSNA more involved in service and the community. We really have done so much and I am so proud of the girls that have been running it with me! It has been really time consuming being in the DSNA presidency but so far it has been worth it!

a lizard??

How in the Heck did a lizard get in our house?! I know we live in St. George and all but seriously...I can't think of a way that this could have happened. So I am in our computer rooming, minding my own business....doing homework when Rob walks in and points out the lizard right by my feet. We caught it and set it free outside but really how in the world did a lizard get in our house, let alone in the back room?? We don't leave the windows or doors open...it's too hot outside for that. Weird. Well, Joe and Linds, at least next time we want to catch lizards now we know that we don't need to go to some "ghost town" to do it. :)

A weekend with the Brandts

ForEVer ago, The Brandt girls all got together up at Joe and Lind's place in Ogden. It was Vickie's birthday weekend and it was so much fun. Friday night Rob and I got there. Then the girls left Rob and Rich to babysit the kids and we headed out on our Girls Night Out. We went to see Mama Mia. It was fun to be out but the movie wasn't as good as I expected it to be. I am a fan of Abba but the movie was a little too cheesy. Sorry all you MM fans, no hard feelings? Anyway, like I said, it was way fun to be out at the movies and to see my MIL dancing and singing in her seat. lol. After that we came home and rescued the boys..hehe. We played cards until who knows when in the morning. I believe that I am the reigning President and Rob was the reigning scum.
The next morning we all got up to take some family pictures. The results are below. I manipulated a bunch of them so the color stood out more and so some were in black and white. They looked so good! But they are on my other computer so you get the ones that haven't been fixed at all....don't hate me for being lazy, its late.
Vickie and the grandkids....there will be a few of these. I know nobody cares to see the same pic over and over in different versions...but this is my blog and I love the pics so deal with it. haha!

Saturday early evening we went to Body Worlds and I absolutely loved it! I wish I could have gone when there were less people though. Then after that we picked Joe and Jake up from teh airport and all went out to dinner and Tha Red...or Red Lobster. Here are a few pics that Rob snapped.

long time no bloggy

Wow, so I haven't posted in a while. I have been crazy busy with school, work, and the student nurses association. Oh yeah....did I mention I got a job as an LPN? Probably not. Anyway, who cares about that boring stuff. Here are some pictures of the health fairs we ( the DSNA presidency and class reps) did.
