Up in the gym, working on my fitness

Miss me? Rob and I have been having too much fun to post on my blog. hehe. So here is a rundown of what we have been doing. These last few months are always the busiest for us.

Nov. - We had Thanksgiving with Rob's family at the Houle residence. The guy played ping pong and we ate pie and yummy food. It was so fun. Here is the Brandt family, minus Charles, Lauren, and Caiden. This isn't a very flattering picture of me because I worked early and then came straight there....but here is it nonetheless. I got a promotion at work to RN-Unit Manager (actually it was a bit before but we will just say Nov..mmkay). Rob and I both were doing school as well.

Dec.- This was the best Christmas that we have had since we got married. It was really nice to have money and to actually get to buy each other gifts. We got spoiled. We ate good food with family, saw my niece's dance program, saw the lights, hung out with family some more. It was so fun. Rob got a nice bonus at work and won the ping pong tourney at his work Christmas party (an additional $500 on top of his bonus..woohoo!). I also won a Ninja blender from my work. Look it up, its awesome. We also celebrated our 4th anniversary. Happy 4 years! It was so fun. Oh and Rob cut his hair and he's still HOT.


Jan. - Rob turned 27 years old this month. It was a week long birthday celebration with a Suns theme. We went to movies and dinner. I got him 4th row tickets to the Jazz game right behind the Suns bench. It was a blast! We definitely got noticed by the Suns players. It might have been more of a gift more me than him, haha. It was so fun! So for his presents Rob got a Suns jersey and Suns tie. He also got a few non-Suns gifts, like new shoes, clothes, and cologne. This month we started a new semester and I got another promotion at work. I am now the ADON, Assistant Director of Nursing (toot my own horn).

That is basically a very short run down of what we did these past three months. I am sure there has been much more and I may be forgetting something important but those were the highlights. As for this month, I have started working out. Sometimes it is hard to stay motivated since I wake up so early every morning. I come home and want to sleep. SO to combat this I am going to the gym straight from work and I put together (add to) a pump me up playlist.

Softball and other stuff

Oh how I love this game!! I have been playing on an all girls team and a coed team. Plus I have been subbing on a few teams here and there. It has been awesome and I think I am getting back into my old groove (as much as I can). Last Wednesday I hit an in-the-park home run in my all girls league. I haven't done that in a LONG time. Felt good.

So not much has been going on. Rob has been playing softball and started school again. I am working and also going to school (online nursing bachelors). We have just been hanging out with family and friends. Nothing too interesting that I can think of. Oh, I got bored and stripped all the black from my hair. It's back to red and I got brave and cut 2 inches off myself because I didn't want to wait to get an appointment. When it is how I want it to look then I will post a pic.

So I saw this driving home from work one day and thought I would share the awesomeness....enjoy

Who you gonna call?

Every little girl needs a raincoat. Right? This is my niece, Dani.

We have been hanging with Rob's brother, Joe and his wife, linds...and their 3 kids. It has been so fun and it makes me want kids BAD. We went over one sunday and Addy and Ren climbed up on Rob and fell asleep. HAHA! so cute!

We watched Dallin, Addy, and Renzo on night and took them to out to play. I think Rob had more fun than the kids did. Here is Ren getting ready to throw the basketball. Sorry for the blurry pictures, they were from my Iphone. I really want a digital SLR.

Action shot! Can you brag about kids that aren't even your own? Well I am going to. These kids are seriously the sweetest and coolest kids. So easy to watch and super fun to play with! They are also so talented...picking up sports so easy.

SLC Bees

While Rob was out camping with the Boys, I was at a Bees game with my sister. Our work gave us free tickets. It was really fun even though they lost. It seems like every time I go to a sporting event the home team loses. I must be bad luck! Anyway, It was way fun. Dani, my niece, wore this tutu that Carrie and I bought her earlier that day. It was so cute!

YAY! Welcome Keznee!

Congrats to Jake and Ashley on their first little one, Keznee! She was born on Aug. 4 and had the cutest head of black hair!! I can't wait to get to know my new little niece!
