Softball and other stuff

Oh how I love this game!! I have been playing on an all girls team and a coed team. Plus I have been subbing on a few teams here and there. It has been awesome and I think I am getting back into my old groove (as much as I can). Last Wednesday I hit an in-the-park home run in my all girls league. I haven't done that in a LONG time. Felt good.

So not much has been going on. Rob has been playing softball and started school again. I am working and also going to school (online nursing bachelors). We have just been hanging out with family and friends. Nothing too interesting that I can think of. Oh, I got bored and stripped all the black from my hair. It's back to red and I got brave and cut 2 inches off myself because I didn't want to wait to get an appointment. When it is how I want it to look then I will post a pic.

So I saw this driving home from work one day and thought I would share the awesomeness....enjoy

Who you gonna call?

Every little girl needs a raincoat. Right? This is my niece, Dani.

We have been hanging with Rob's brother, Joe and his wife, linds...and their 3 kids. It has been so fun and it makes me want kids BAD. We went over one sunday and Addy and Ren climbed up on Rob and fell asleep. HAHA! so cute!

We watched Dallin, Addy, and Renzo on night and took them to out to play. I think Rob had more fun than the kids did. Here is Ren getting ready to throw the basketball. Sorry for the blurry pictures, they were from my Iphone. I really want a digital SLR.

Action shot! Can you brag about kids that aren't even your own? Well I am going to. These kids are seriously the sweetest and coolest kids. So easy to watch and super fun to play with! They are also so talented...picking up sports so easy.

SLC Bees

While Rob was out camping with the Boys, I was at a Bees game with my sister. Our work gave us free tickets. It was really fun even though they lost. It seems like every time I go to a sporting event the home team loses. I must be bad luck! Anyway, It was way fun. Dani, my niece, wore this tutu that Carrie and I bought her earlier that day. It was so cute!

YAY! Welcome Keznee!

Congrats to Jake and Ashley on their first little one, Keznee! She was born on Aug. 4 and had the cutest head of black hair!! I can't wait to get to know my new little niece!



Here is Rob holding her the day after she was born. Unfortunately I didn't get any pictures with her but hopefully there will be more to come.

Finally a 2nd vehicle!!

I used to have a Jeep Wrangler about 8 years ago and have wanted one since the day I sold my last one. Rob and I have needed a second vehicle for a while now but just couldn't decide what to get. Both of us wanted something that was too expensive for our budget (isn't that how it always goes?) so we were just going to get a little junker car. Then I happened upon a REALLY REALLY good deal on a 98 Jeep Wrangler Sahara. Too good to pass up and it was just what I wanted.


So I would like to introduce everyone to Dana (thanks Jay for the great name)! Me and her have a lot in common....we both like nice looking shoes, rock climbing, and both of us don't mind getting a little dirty. Dana and I are kindred spirits.

Ok first things first...I PASSED MY RN NCLEX!!! Granted that it was about a month ago, but man it felt good to finally have that over with. All the schooling finally paid off. I have been keeping busy. Now that I am not letting school consume me, I am playing softball on a couple of teams. I am very rusty OR I was never as good as my mind thought I was. hehe. It has been really fun playing and seeing some of the girls I played with in high school.

In July we went to the Stadium of Fire (Thanks Joe and Linds for getting us tickets). Here are some pictures of that event.

Some parts got a little boring

Sorry this picture is blurry. I do what I can with just an Iphone. Here is Jake, Ashlee, Rich, Dallin, and Ashley (right behind Dallin). We had quite the crew.

Also during July we got to watch Lorenzo, our nephew for about 4-5 days. It was so fun to have this toddler in our house. He is the funnest kid! So happy all the time and loving to everyone! Rob was the one that mostly watched him because I was working most of the days. Uncle Rob did spoil him just a bit. It was nice because they wore each other out by the end of the day. He took him swimming, which we didn't get pictures of.

They stopped at the carnival in town and Ren rode the train. He was a little scared at first but then he had fun. I think he was also tired because earlier this day they went swimming too.Ren and Rob Swimming at the park

We took Ren to the park almost every day. This kid can go down that slide for hours.

Then Rob took him to Jason's house and took Ren riding (very very slow) around the field by my brothers house.

Our friends, Josh and Cris, invited us to go 4-wheeling with them a few weeks ago. The ride was so fun and beautiful! I did wreck.....dumb.


It was so dusty! This is me very dirty and making the dirty face.
